A graduate of Law from the University of Lagos in 1987, Alhaji Rasheed Olasumbo Yusuf was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1988 and he has been in active Legal Practice ever since. He did his National Youth Service with the Legal Aid Council in Ibadan and practised briefly there before moving to Maiduguri where he joined the Law Firm of Pelma Chambers., under whose pupilage he learnt the rudiments of the Practice and Procedure of Law.

In 1993 he left the Firm to found his own Firm, R. O. Yusuf & Co. He joined the Law Firm of JK Gadzama & Partners in 1999 and is presently the Head of Chambers. He is with the Abuja office and specializes in General Litigation.

He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
