Born on the 7th day of February, 1980, Adewale Akande graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, in 2006 with a Second Class (Upper) Honours and proceeded to the Nigerian Law school in the year 2006. He was thereafter called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007.

His professional career started in 2007 as a Corps member in the Law Firm of Messrs J-K Gadzama & Partners LLP, at No 15b, Circular Road, G.R.A, Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.

After his diligent and dedicated service to the Federal Republic of Nigeria during the National Youth Service Corps, he was employed by the Law Firm of J-K Gadzama & Partners LLP in 2008 and transferred to the Lagos office of the Firm at Ikoyi, Lagos. He was appointed Legal Assistant to the Chief Consultant on the Review of the Laws of Oyo State in 2008. He is a member of Litigation Department.
Adewale Akande is a member of professional and social organizations. A sportsman and an ardent footballer.

He has won several awards which includes but not limited to the following:
- Best student in Public law Department, University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2006.
- Best SRC member Award, Nigeria Law School, Agbani, Enugu in 2007.
